About Me

After ten years of working in the Communications field, I still don’t find it easy to talk/write about myself. Weird right?

Not really.

I have morphed from being a private, guarded child to becoming this confident and purposeful woman of God. It sounds straightforward but it has taken me over 20 years to settle into the woman I am today and to be comfortable in Adedoyin’s shoes.

Adedoyin Jaiyesimi is the Co-Founder of The Comms Avenue, a capacity-building and networking platform for Communications Professionals. She is also a part-time lecturer for the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (UK) programme at the University of Nairobi, Kenya and she is the Author of the book, From Clueless to Success – a collection of 20 backstories from her journey as a communications professional.

Developing expertise in creating and implementing communications strategy over her ten-year career, Adedoyin works with organizations and senior executives in diverse industries to strategically leverage the power of communications to achieve organisational objectives. This involves having strategy sessions, creating communications plans, training internal communications teams, and overseeing execution.

She has successfully executed projects for Project Ark, The ARK Coaching Company, the Nigerian Economic Summit Group (NESG), the W Community, Women in Business, Management and Public Service (WIMBIZ), Leading Ladies Africa, Heritage Bank, African Philanthropy Forum amongst others.

Adedoyin Jaiyesimi is also a Communications Advisor and a Corporate Trainer.

She has facilitated communications training for the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA), Pension Fund Operators (PenOp), Nigerian-British Chamber of Commerce (NBCC), amongst others. Adedoyin is also also keen on engaging the public sector and governments on the effective use of communications in the public policy process.

With an honours’ Master’s degree in Corporate and Marketing Communication from IE Business School, Adedoyin’s work has been featured in BusinessDay Weekender, Pride Magazine, Y! Magazine, Connect Nigeria and she has been profiled on Leading Ladies Africa, Guardian Woman, Punch Newspaper, The Nation, She Leads Africa, Leadership Newspaper, The Spark and Lionesses of Africa.

So Who Am I?

I am a child of God

I am a child of God; completely and totally unashamed of the gospel of Christ.

I am a Communications professional.

I am a lover of food and the sweet things of life.

I am a voracious reader. You can be sure that you can win me over with books any day, any time.

I am on a mission to impact my world for Christ. That’s my life purpose. It’s the most important thing to me really.

I am a woman who is still on a journey, learning and growing every day.

I’m the girl with the big smile and some would also say, ‘the girl with the large heart’.

I don’t like to try new things but I like freshness. Well, sometimes.

I love my space. I love being in my head.

I am passionate about the work I do. Writing, creating content, developing communications strategy, training and coaching…these are just a few things that get me energized every day.

I am imperfect and like I said before, I am still on a journey.

As you go through my website, you will be going through different aspects of my life: my work, my faith, my world.

Learn from me, share with me, connect with me but most importantly, I pray what you read will push you to have a closer relationship with God.
